CME – Happy & Healthy Heart

A CME seminar entitled as “Happy and Healthy heart” held under the aegis of Pharmatec Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd concluded here recently.

Renowned Physiologist Prof Dr. Joachim W Herzig PhD., and leading psychiatrist of Pakistan, Brig. Dr. Mowadat Rana gave their expert advice to the participating doctors.

The seminar began with the recitation of Holy Quran and it was attended by more than 150 doctors.

Pharmatec Pakistan’s managing director Dr. Shahida in her welcome address said that it was an honour for her company to conduct the CME activity for fellow doctors.

Elaborating, she said that the seminar was aimed at raising awareness of the latest clinical experience used in the health care industry globally.

“Pharmatec Pakistan (Pvt) is of firm belief that such educational activities must continue for the development for health care professional,” Dr. Shahida added.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Herzig said that happiness is one of the key factors for reducing risk of heart and cancer-bases diseases.

He exhorted doctors to promote a healthy lifestyle among their patient as the life style plays an important role for the health of patients as well as for recovery of patients from diseases.

Brig Dr. Mowadat Rana said that unhealthy life style of an individual leads to the development of several diseases and also acts as a catalyst to the deterioration of several diseases such as depression; insomnia-related sleep disorders as well as cancer-based diseases. “In fact, unhealthy lifestyle is one of the major contributing factors for increasing the incidence of cancer-bases diseases,” he added.

The lectures were followed by lively question-answer sessions.

Pharmatec Pakistan’s Head of Marketing Development, Bilal Sarwat, who was the master of ceremony, said that it was a matter of proud that the seminar was addressed by renowned doctors. The event was supported by Baqai Medical University and organized by Medical News.
