Pharmatec is a
ISO 9001-2000 certified company (which includes recognition of
product development work).
The plant consisting of
latest
expanded
manufacturing and laboratory facilities,
warehouses and offices covers a floor area of about
7,000 square
meters in S.I.T.E., the developed industrial area of Karachi.
The facility
includes
newly
constructed
state of
the art
areas
for
cephalosporin
powder
vials,
suspensions,
capsules
and
tablets,
and also
sterile
liquid
ampoules
and
creams/ointments.
In addition, we take pride in the
fact that our high speed equipment for tablets compression (Fette
P-3000), capsules filling (Zanasi) and blistering (Uhlmann and
Noack) are the best in the industry in Pakistan. From walls to
ceilings and from fixtures to equipments, there are new
finishes, and we have a continuous programme for upgradation and
additions to meet all GMP and GLP requirements.
We also have a
full fledged engineering department within Pharmatec for full
servicing and ongoing maintenance. A new utilities block has
been constructed which amongst other essential equipment also
houses a 320 tons gas absorption chiller to cater for both our
present requirements and our future expansions.
The quality control laboratory includes a microbiology section
and is equipped with the latest analysing equipment including
High Pressure Liquid Chromatography and UV & Infrared
Spectrophotometers.
In the 30 years of operation of the company
we have never had a single adverse quality issue reported by
regulatory authorities relating to their random quality checks on our
products, nor have we ever had a product recall for
any reason.
This track record is solid evidence of the highest
possible care and attention paid at Pharmatec to manufacture of
medicines that reach patients in the best possible condition in
terms of quality.
